Sometimes we just have it too good.

Ever think about your lifestyle? I just got dressed to go running.

Running shoes - $90
Shorts - $30
Shirt -$10
iPod -$149
iPod + Nike - $30
Heart Monitor - $100
Socks -$10
Sunglasses - $30

Total - $449 to go out and run. Ridiculous.

I know tell me about it. Thats not that much if you think about it, throw in a nice watch and suit and the total can pass $10k pretty easy.

Most people in the world don't see that in a year.

No worse than a $50,000 SUV to fetch groceries and drop the kids off at soccer practice.

I've bought and driven cars for $450. I sold my old Tie-ota truck recently for $500; street legal, buyer drove it away.

I refuse to total my belongings for fear of a mental breakdown.

Good stuff

My shoes cost me $30, the shirt was a savers special ($2), and I think I paid like $20 for my pants...

I live cheaply when I can. Works for me

Add $200 to my wife's getup.

Henry Rono, Zola Budd, Kep Keino, and a bunch of other runners, never needed this crap. I should be running Sub-5's with all this garbage sticking out of my ears.

If you start thinking it's too much, you are approaching your limits of cost justification.

That's not too bad. You could have $200 shoes and a $200+ iPod plus $400 sun glasses. Many runners I see around here go way over the top with "gear" like that.

Nike Cross country specific shoes. $120.00
1 liter of smart water 2$ ish
Nike running shirt $20.00
Nike running shorts $20.00
