Yep...It's a real good shooter....at 80-90 yards the 640 has NO trouble hitting a 16' round concrete saw blade........at 7 yards....it shoots groups into one big jagged hole when I do my part....Fun gun.........

The only J-Frame snubbie I have is a Mod36, beautiful gloss bluing, wood grips, 2 inch barrel. Flat cylinder latch, pinned barrel, apparently built in the early 1960's. The newer J-Frames are extended to accept .357 Magnum cartridges, but just because you can do it, doesn't make it a good idea...the report is deafening and the recoil will ruin your whole day. I sold my Mod640 because I was broke one time and it was my least favorite piece.

Snubbies are not for everyone....first off... they recoil very hard...lightweight snubbies have brutal recoil......then there's the short sight radius...makes it hard for most to shoot well....If one can get used to those traits of a snubbie ......it becomes a very accurate handgun.....

I honestly think that's some sort of instinctive thing, leftover from when we had to throw rocks or spears at some unfortunate creature so that we could put dinner on the table. The cavemen that couldn't hit squat either didn't eat or didn't get laid and the Darwinian result is guys that can shoot, and hit.

My pal James used to have a miserable old .45ACP (it was almost always at the 'smith getting a new bushing or a hammer or a spring....) but, in it's defense, it had a laser dot aimer thingy....we had fun going out in the yard after a few bourbons, drawing and aiming the thing instinctively (empty chamber and mag out of course). It was amazing to me just how close you could aim to a specific point, by whipping it out and up...plenty close for protection.

Well, youre talkin bout china grove

You can even hear the music at night

And though its a part of the lone star state
People dont seem to care
They just keep on lookin to the east

Talkin bout the china grove

That is an interesting perspective. Shooting came naturally to me after going to camp and being trained by an old timer NRA instructor on 60 year old Remington single shot 22's that had broken extractors.

I can't hit squat with a bow and arrow but give me a firearm....
