It's funny, I'm not wild about the guy but I hear Repo Senators on TV news describe him as one of the most effective senators.

What's a "lib"?

I hear this term all the time on talk radio. Must be some sort of conservative, since the President backed this immigration bill along with this Kennedy guy, whoever he is. Last name has a familiar ring to it, though.

Matt ... you seem to listen to talk radio a lot. Can you explain this for the rest of us?

Yeah, I was kind of wondering about that one. A bit naive today, I guess.

Broadly speaking, liberalism emphasizes individual rights and equality of opportunity. A liberal society is characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power, the rule of law, the free exchange of ideas, a market economy, free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of all citizens are protected. [2] In the 21st century, this usually means liberal democracy with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law. [3]
........now, who's the looooooser.......??????

I don't know about Teddy, but W isn't exactly acting like a winner these days. Check out the video of his pitiful press conference from yesterday: http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/014887.php

Every time I start feeling sympathy for the guy, he says something that reminds me what a jerk he really is. He has a lot of nerve saying the Congress has to find a way to work through difficult issues. How about some leadership now and then, Mr. Decider-in-Chief? He has treated the people in Congress, both GOP and Dem, like dirt ever since he took office. Well, those chickens are coming home to roost.

Sure. I sometimes have sympathy for W. He's thick, but he's got to have some understanding of what a complete cluster-f*** his Presidency has been. It's completely his own fault, but it still can't be easy for him.

I doubt it. My understanding is that he believes that he is doing god's will, which is then perfect by definition.

I don't believe he has any conception of how badly he's screwed the country for the foreseeable future. He beliefs are unshakeable and, therefore, he thinks that he'd only require more time to correct any problems.

It is the fault of those libs. If they weren't so consumed with Bush Hatred, and if they weren't so partisan, then they would support our President.

Let's face it. That's what is causing all these problems. All this vicious left-wing sabotage of a good man. He extended an open hand to them, and they spat in his face. And they undermined the troops, too. Encouraged the terrorists. If only the President was free and unshackled, to do what is really necessary ... like invade Cambodia or something.

Am I getting the talking points down correctly? Aside from the Cambodia thing. That's a flashback.

It's not about oil.

It's about giant bills to replace all of our HMMV and other expensive equipment.
