*** And watch out for Black Friday!!! ***

Happy DBTDE (Day-Before-Thanksgiving-Day-Eve) everyone!!!

I'm putting the finishing touches on 4lbs. of Sloppy Joe Mix for a Pot Luck (* In Wisconsin, "Pot Luck" is Norwegian for: "If no one comes down with food poisoning, you've "Lucked Out!") lunch, which will also include about 20 Honey-Wheat Pita-pockets and 24 regular hamburger buns to stuff the SJM into. The extra (if there's any left over) will be dropped off at the local SalArmy downtown.

Then, sometime before noon today, I should get my assignment for the Community Thanksgiving Day Meal being held in downtown La Crosse. I'm shooting for the "Brewmeister Position"...as in "JavaGod."

You guys???? Drive safe and have a pleasant TGD. See ya' during the next posting(s)...

Happy hump day, everybody. I'm looking forward to Mr and Mrs Powerpig's Thanksgiving Day repast tomorrow. I understand there is yet another new cooking device in his outdoor kitchen in which the turkey will be cooked to perfection.
I'm thankful this year for the best woman in the world, the many great friends I have met here on the forum and our GTGs, good health, a great job, a nice home, and that I live in the greatest country in the world.
I wish everyone here a happy Thanksgiving and a terrific holiday season.

Just counting down the hours until I get out of here today. I NEED to remember to get propane later or tomorrow's plan to fry one of the turkeys might get the kibosh.

We're meeting up for dinner with some Down syndrome forum friends from IN, who are unfortunately in town because one of their other children got airlifted to CT Children's Medical Center due to some clotting in his brain (things are far more optimistic now than it was late last week!). We're hoping to help them make the best of a pretty crappy (thus far) Thanksgiving holiday away from home. It's one of those few times that I really wish we had a bigger house, I'd much rather have them over than meet up a restaurant.

I'm trying to install a keyless entry system in my 300SDL and as usual even the simplest of automotive electrical tasks has me stumped.:o

Check my thread in the diesel discussion forum if you think you can help.

Other than that, I finished shopping for the Thanksgiving meal and I'm thawing the turkeys today.

Here's hoping you all have a fantastic Turkey Day!!!:D

Going in for my last assessment of my "broken" elbow tomorrow morning...still can't get it past the +5° extension...I used to be > -10° before the break. My right elbow is still able to pull that off, but alas, my port arm doss notting close!

Oh well, I can't beoch too much about it...it was either that elbow or my face and I'm sure the stones and parking lot didn't need any further abuse.

Waiting for PD this Friday and any news about Bonuses or the like...it (bonus news) usually comes about this time...then it drives everyone nuts for the rest of the year figuring out what they're going to do with it.

And we had a great year too...a record-setter...thanks to all the political ad monies that kept coming in and pushing out the regular customers.

Anyways...have a nice rest of the week and may the weather in your area allow you to get out and do what you want to do...not what you HAVE to do.

PS: I'm thinking about heading down to the local "Sally" and see if they could use a "newbie" on a "bell" somewhere in town. It wouldn't hurt for me to get out and breathe some of the cool, crisp air and work the two elbows swinging a bell...too bad I shaved off the beard from last year...

Later!
