Have fun at home Mistress.

Sounds like you need bed rest Dee8go. I hope you feel better soon.

Good luck with the BBQ TX76513. Is it a special BBQ or just another Friday lunch? Do you have to go all out or just burgers and dogs?

Chad- I'm sure things will go smoothly with you and the little ones this weekend. Post a photo of the lamp if you can.
I'm going to the Air and Space museum today.

I WILL finish my veggie seed contracts for next year (on average about 19% above last year's cost) today. I hope. My father took off today to take his boat from Mystic to the CT River and up to our club (just south of Hartford) for our big shindig this weekend. It'd be an all day run so they have an overnight rendezvous with some other club members on their way in from various downriver locations. That said, while he's screwing around all day I've got to deal with his chit as well as my own and not sure how much I'll get done.

Of course, if I keep hanging around here it won't be very much.:D

Good luck, Chad. Your kids are young enough and should deal fine. Any time I hear the Mrs. has to go away I have visions of Lord of the Flies.

LOL.:D

Thanks for the reassurance Swamp and Mistress.:)

Good luck with the contracts Swamp, and have fun at your shindig. BTW, why do they call it a "shindig" anyway ... it makes it sound like a painful experience.:D

Have fun at the museum Mistress, I love a good day at ANY museum or zoo. Now I get to experience them all over through my kids.

It can be burgers and dogs but everyone expects a little better each time. Usually once a month by department, think of it as a Team Building Experience. Looks like the grill is going to have Jerk Chicken, BBQ Plantains and roasted corn. The theme is Island Days so you have to wear a Hawaiian shirt. la de da see how easy that was.

"It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood. A beautiful day for a neighbor. I'm packing mine. It is a 9 (mm)."

You need a 50 caliber ... here's why:eek:

http://sophisticmiltonianserbonianblog.wordpress.com/2007/05/29/what-nine-shots-from-a-50-caliber-revolver-will-bag-you/

"Eleven year-old Jamison Stone bagged this 9 foot-long and 1,050 lb. boar a few weeks ago on a commercial hunting preserve in Georgia.

Besides the obvious “wow” factor, I want to know how this elephantine beast was wandering around a relatively small, 2,500 acre ranch without being discovered. Just the hole he made in the brush should have been pretty easy to track.

Of additional note, the AP story says he shot this megafaunal pig with a .50 caliber revolver (as opposed to the much more well-known Desert Eagle, which is a semi-auto and fires 3-400 grain bullets), the only one made I know of being a S&W 500, which shoots 650 grain bullets. For those non-Second Amendment lovers, that is a HUGE round that would be hard for a grown man to fire once, much less nine times, even at a target as big as this."

I would love to see the grill that would be able to cook that! Hog roast for 2,000 and you'll have some leftovers.:D

You'd have to serve it with a watermelon in its mouth instead of an apple.:D

You're right Mistress, it's in the BBQ thread now.:D
