Thank God for drugs
Life goes on.

Holy $h!t! That had to be quite the shock.

I suspect it'll be a sensible dinner. ;)

1. Yep. But at least I didn't have any time to dwell over it. They must have had an IV in me that they just cranked up an put me out and prepped me for surgery. No chance to store up any of my own blood. Didn't take any after surgery, and was weak and pale for over a month. Coming around, the first thing I saw was my nurse standing in the door looking at my monitor. She was terminally pregnant. If her water had burst, I might have drowned!:P

2. Yes. Funny what those things do to your habits. I think we're having a pork roast.

"Pork. The other white meat":D

Four day bender/cooking fest with Gustav evacuees ended today, and I fly out tomorrow so I can enjoy the next hurricane at my East Coast property and not fish:rolleyes: (non-refundable ticket and pricelined it, so it won't be worth squat). Actually may run the boat up the 'Bay into Urbana or somewhere a little farther inland. That could get fun.

Its kind of slowing down now that school has started.

If you are up for a boat ride Friday during the weather, it is in Rudee Inlet:D I don't know when we will leave yet, but I suspect it will be pretty hairy.

We will probably have someone pick us up at Urbanna in a van or something, which is the only place I can find a slip since this Hanna crap started.

Well, I AM trying to lose a few pounds. I suspect that would take some off . . . . the hard way.

My favorite co-worker showed up for work today for the first time in three weeks...

...she had been dealing with breast cancer.

Fortunately, it was detected early and she had the lumps removed with no issues. She still has to go through some chemo though.

We've been business partners for nearly ten years...the only individual who makes this place tolerable! :)

Glad to hear that, G! The best of luck to her!

Big meeting today (tomorrow, actually, but I won't be here then) to make the biggest sale of my career. Say a little prayer for me, burn a stick of incense, or do a little dance, however you conciense dictates.

Thank you.

I'm praying to my little dancing stick of burning incense, Dee. Good luck!

Airlifting a mess of 10’ portable fence panels about 8 miles in not so pretty weather. Praying the sling doesn’t break. ;)
(What a racket that would make on impact !!)
