I know. That's why I said "Whaaaa?"

Hey, I have just about worked myself up to getting one of those Samsung Instinct phones. The service costs a lot more but I can really use it to go on the Internet unlike this (broken) Treo 650 I have now.

Woohoo! A new toy. Yaaaaa!

Does anybody else here have one?

a barrister?

i am fireproofing the grass roof of the stage of a mexican restaurant. when you sell yourself as a painter, the sky's the limit, i guess. :D there was a month last year where i painted a car for "steve-o" with spray cans, and a van for paris and nicole with an airless sprayer, using water based enamel usually used as house paint, after spraying a helicopter for a low budget feature (think direct to video). whats next, a live camel? a dead elephant?

I dumped my 650 in Feb -If the i-phone didn't have it's battery problem would have gone that way. Took the middle ground with a Blackberry. About 90% satisfied, which is a higher percentage than many of the phones in the last 10 years.

My company gave me a Blackberry, but it was too confusing going back and forth between it and my Treo, so I got a Razr.

Holy crap, it's Wednesday! The week has been flying, mostly because I'm backed up with quotations now that the fall seeding/over-seeding season is upon us. I'm hoping some of these quotes will turn into orders before the end of the month since our FY ends 9/30. We're scrambling like heck to beat last year's goals, which isn't too bad considering the economy. Fortunately many of our competitors have dropped the ball service-wise sending some good customers our way.

very cool swamp..

I was bored last night and stripped some paint off my only painted panel on the delorean.. I had a brain fart and hosed it off instead of scraping the paint off with a plastic spatula

so one more can of paint stripper and a spatula and it will be back to bare metal. then its off to the stainless steel shop to get the dents hammered out and ill have to regrain it myself

I don't remember if I asked you before or not, but do any painted DeLoreans ever show up at the shows? Are they sneered at by the purists? While the S/S is cool I've always wondered what one would look like in the usual sportscar colors. Probably blasphemy, huh? :)

Chad300tdt 09-17-2008 03:41 PM

Maybe an anodized Delorean? That could be cool.:D

Got back home last night from SugarLand/Hull (WSW – Houston).
Wearing out a shop-vac sucking dirty salty sand galore from areas I never thought it could get.
Emptying a case of LPS3 (BMS3-23G-II).
Reinstalling an interior…or three.

Oh Yee Haa....

(But a hell of a lot nicer task than many of those we've met over the past few days will be taking on.)

On saturday I am having a tech for the Delorean Club of Florida at eagle-co's house since he has a larger yard. One of the members has a painted car. It's white and is done pretty well.. I wouldn't mind a painted car, but It would have to be black.

The thing about painted deloreans is that you dont know whats under the paint. Serious damage or just nothing but primer. If you luck out you just strip the paint and have to have the entire car regrained (which is a grand or more if you have the best guy in the world do it... and he lives in the UK) One of the FL guys had a red car and the genius stripped the perfect paint off the car so he could sell the car... Total idiot, it would have sold with the red paint rather than a car with a screwed up grain.

he has some videos on youtube..

this genius

the genius is hand graining improperly you are supposed to go in one direction, lift, start over again... never back and forth.. -twitch-

kinda sucks his car was kinda repo'd halfway through his trip to cali...

Damn, I never thought of that. There is a definite grain to it now that you mention it.

I'm dashing back and forth between my office and my basement where I am reupholstering pieces of the Dee8gonator in preparation for the big GTG at Chad's on Saturday.
When I'm done with those, I can finish installing the new speakers I fabricated custom mounts for. Nothing is ever as easy as I imagine it will be . . . . .

Chad300tdt 09-24-2008 09:39 AM

Cool Dee8go! Good luck getting everything done.

My MIL is going to watch my kids today. I'm just waiting for her to show up. Then I can start getting things cleaned up around here. I need to move all my old fence panels that I have stacked in my driveway, plus about 10 - 3' x 7' windows a friend dropped off there too. I have to clean up part of my garage to make room for them. I also want to clean up my office and basement.

I hope I can get it all done today. My wife is taking the day off on Friday, so I can go get the food/drinks, refilled propane tanks for Saturday, and finish any last minute preparations so I can relax Saturday morning and be ready for when everyone arrives.

Have a great Wednesday everyone!!
