You're flying? Today?

Carleton Hughes 10-08-2008 10:18 AM

Brooklyn again, leaky flush ball seat,2 new 20 amp circuits,re-grout around the tub enclosure and check the chimbley flashing.

Damn fine Turkish food around the corner on Coney Island avenue!

Dee8go 10-08-2008 10:20 AM

Carleton, you make me happy to only own ONE house!

WVOtoGO 10-08-2008 10:24 AM

Nothing wrong with that. Tune the ADF to local AM crackle and pretend you’re in yester-year.

Today I’ll be digging some E300 wheels out of the hangar to hopefully run over to Rich later this week.

Washing the ‘ol Ody van inside and out today.

Maybe a flight in the Cub just to let it know it’s not been forgotten.

DJ and Shelby are finally getting back into the groove…

Slow and steady here too.

Cheers - All -

Working on some calculus homework and then will go to the bank and deposit this check so I can put it towards having the title to my Delorean transfered to my name.

Self-guided tour of Vancouver, BC today. Stumbled around Granville Island this morning, took the Big Bus around town, got off at Robson and Cardero and walked back into the neighborhood to find a place for lunch. Neat little deli, great sandwiches, sat outside and watched the world go by.

It's good to be here.

Just watching the world go by today.....have a good day everyone.

My company volunteered (people) to build a Habitat for Humanity House this week. After Monday (framing exterior and interior walls) Tues AM doing roof trusses, I am glad to be sitting at my desk today. My coffee cup feels like it weighs 100 pounds

Me? Just watching the world go "bye bye" today... :(

...lots of businesses letting go of people, stories of friends losing homes and car repos and such.

Other friends discovering ailments while others undergoing chemo and other treatments for theirs.

Mononucleosis running rampant in our community...my kid has been dealing with it for over two months now....fortunately on the downhill slide now...

Good for you, TX! It must be pretty satisfying.

Not a whole lot going on today, we've been relatively quiet. The economy has caught up with the professional turf market.

We've got a Boy Scout meeting tonight, which I'm looking forward to. But of course it's popcorn selling season. I really hate peddling stuff. Between Boy and Girl Scouts, the school, the PTO, sports teams we always seem to have some crap to sell.

I allowed the wife and I one reward for paying off our unsecured debt. We bought a leather couch, loveseat and recliner for the living room to replace the 8 year old ratty ones that the kids had about torn to shreds and they showed up this morning. Recliners for all except the middle seat on the couch. Very comfy. And paid in full. :)

Crap, G, just when I was feeling better about things... Sorry to hear you've got so much negative stuff going on. We've been surprisingly insulated thusfar with the economy but with so many here into the real estate, banking and insurance businesses it's only a matter of time until friends and neighbors get affected. In fact Business Week just had an article of the Top 10 towns in the country to be the most affected by this financial mess and we made it.

I'll just bet you could sell some of the kids corn-n-cookies to us....
