I'm just trying like heck to get my desk straightened out today. I'm leaving tomorrow morning for Charleston for 3 days on business. I'd hate to come back on Monday and hear that we lost an employee in an avalanche. :) Unfortunately tomorrow is my daughter's birthday and she gets distraught when I have to travel anytime, nevermind on her b-day. :( We're taking her and some friends to see the new H.S. musical movie on Saturday. :stunned:

Oh Swamp, have you learned nothing here?;) When we were at Disney in Jan, the HS musical thing busted loose with a live show in the park while we were walking by in MGM. I fled to the beer tent and then Indiana Jones(my wife, mother, sister, ect... were there of course) and told my 5 yo that daddy's weren't allowed to watch HS musical. She told a friend at school recently about that--her dad called me Obi Wan at a bday party later in the week:D

I am taking her to see the sequel to Madagascar though. It will be first in theatre movie I have attended in probably 6-7 years.

btw, Chas, NH or Chas, SC?

You would think I would have. It's tough at 9, she's already figured out how to manipulate me. :D OTOH nothing is set in stone for me yet, our sitter situation is touch and go at best so I might just have to stay at home with the boys (fingers and toes crossed)!

I thought the first Madagascar was pretty funny, it was one of our family movie night dvds and my 5yoS loves it so it gets pretty constant play. They're excited about M2 so we might even get brave and go see it in the theaters.

And Chas, SC.

Lived there for ten years, if you get bored pm me and I will give you some suggestions--but things to do aren't hard to find there--it's a fun town.

If you are at a trade show or something, and feel comfortable with the folks you are asking, poke around about what happened to the owner of Carolina Nursuries (I-26) in about 1990. Pretty good story.

You should see if you can get reciprocity with the Carolina Yacht Club (the oldest in the US) before you go. If it isn't automatic, I bet if your Commodore sent a letter they would let you charge. Cool experience right on the Battery where the Civil War started looking out at Ft. Sumter.

I didn't mean ditching spending time with 'em--just Hannah Montanna, Cheetah Girls, ect....and Zoo, Nat Sci Museum, camping, World Series.

My bigger is totally into watching WS with me. Took her to a couple of minor league games this year and she dug it, even though she knows she will never play softball:D

Open to suggestions!

Rich, deep, screaming red (oh so unusual on most early Miata - usually they've become pretty well washed out after 16 years), top is nice dark black, rear window is clear. Stock interior, factory wheels. Body color roll bar (Autopower), aftermarket springs (Racing Beat) and shocks (Tokico). Rides ~ 1.25" lower than stock. Hi flow cat & new stainless muffler.

She's quick, nimble, and has obviously been well loved by her two previous owners. For some reason, when I told my wife that I was indeed truly lucky to now have to hot red heads in my life :D both of us went immediately towards Hispanic names.......

It's an independent distributor association meeting, lots of seminars about the state of the golf and sports turf industry. I do have Wednesday evening open, and maybe after the President's reception on Thurs evening, so I'm hoping to do some poking around. We're staying at the Francis Marion on King St. Is that central?

AFA the Carolina YC it would probably depend on how high falutin' it is. We do have reciprocity with a good number of YC's nationwide but we're not exclusive enough for say the NYYC. I do like just wandering the docks in the early evening so if I can find some to kill a little time I'll be pretty happy.

I'm still at the point where I try to spend as little time away as possible. I get later flights in and earlier ones out. Most of the members are staying Friday night too (we're done just afternoon) so they have some plans for more sightseeing, but I really just want to get home. If not for my DD's b-day party on Saturday I'd have been tempted to stretch it a bit more.

FM was dorms when I was in college:eek: Yeah, King St. splits the peninsula. Just head SE towards the water from your hotel, until you get to the end. Couple of fun bars and restaurants on Queen, Market, Coming St. and Broad, all off King Street (well, Market is parallel).

CYC is pretty high-falutin, but I used my little club in VA to the hilt in writing me a letter of reciprocation and got away with that for a while (years, until my dad retired, actually):D They denied Ted Turner membership, but the guy that wins all those Swann Rolex races hattie talks about carries a key;)

Man, I'd like to be in Chas this wkd, but it isn't as fun with out the kids, for sure.
