well.. school is in the crapper... My test anxiety is killing me in math.. any other subject and I'm fine....

in other news the suspension from the other delorean is 100% off the car. only thing left is a bare frame and bare fiberglass tub.

I need to figure out how to remove a long bolt from the right rear hub without screwing up said hub since its worth like upwards of $1k

DJ says to roll to wings vertical. Bury the top rudder. And pull the yoke back to your "boobies". That should cover your point turns. ;)

Shelby just called from Marina del Mar.
I called her a ----- on behalf of all of us stuck here.

Here's what happens when you drive one of these swell little cars under a #$%#&*$#$%$*%*$ red light runnin's ferd exploder:

What you can't see from these photos is the fact that while the right wheel is pointing left, the left wheel is pointing right :(

Tiny as they are, I've (so far, knock on wood, etc) had great luck walking away from accidents in 'em. The OTHER #$%#&*$#$%$*%*$ red light running idjit that ate a Miata of mine was in a Matrix - which I flat out solidly t-boned at ~ 50 mph. Totaled both cars, but I walked away from that one with a couple broken ribs (which were likely due as much to my arthritis as to the actual impact - I don't bounce very well) and some scrapped up knuckles (hand flew off the shift lever and punched the cd player outta the dash).

I'm gonna "preview"a friend's tag sale and hopefully glom any goodies.

Gotta replace a combo feedwater regulator/pressure relief in a rental then have lunch with the usual suspects,if I don't have to use the sawzall, that is:mad:

Holy crap, it is Wed. All morning long I've been thinking it was Tues. Bonus! :D

The sun is out (finally) and the early orders are starting to roll in. And I find out I've already got another day of the week behind me. Not too shabby.:)

Today I picked up Jezzabell the SL from the body shop to have some rust spots removed and she looks fabulous. Thanks to Donny at Euromotor Cars in Germantown, MD.

Got another online date today, it's her birthday so it's a biggie. Got the $**t, shave, shampoo and shoeshine thingie done, so it's down to which car will I take for the 175 mile sojourn

Curious how all of that has a cachet of respectability it never used to now we are in the 21st century. There is even a kind of protocol for it.

Vamos a ver.

Good luck Jim. 175 miles? take the SEC.

Sitting in the airport in Mexico City, digesting a killer yummy huevos rancheros breakfast waiting to finish the trip home from Guadalajara.

packing some delorean parts for shipping tomorrow

finishing up some calc homework

getting ready for work

wooo

Heh.. I kinda forgot I had a job for the past week. I was like... am I still employed since they have given me like no hours but I still have money, duh delorean parts lol

made $130 last night( well 290 but james and I are splitting it down the middle after shipping)... and should have $160 by tomorrow from DMC) Plus I got $190 yesturday as well, not bad for one day and that was all small stuff. Currently waiting for a $120 check to come in so I can send the radio bracket and the old radio out.

currently waiting for a "cold knife" to show up from amazon so I can replace the glass on my car.

James and I separated the frame and body tub of the parts car last night. We removed all of the mounting bolts and I was like, I wonder how light this is, sure enough I had the front half a good foot off of the mounts.

So we both just lifted it off and shuffled it to the left of the frame.

Sold the two wagons, and am making space for something cooler.

G-Benz 10-29-2008 03:54 PM

All quiet here...

Loving the cooler weather. Lower gas prices make ragtop driving all the better! W124 is at indie's for misfiring issues, brake pads and flex disk.

No major projects down the pike yet, but I might clean up and tune up the VW motor just to see if it starts! If so, I've sealed my fate as to what the NEXT project will be!

Otherwise, daughter's "mono" adventure is in remission, while the wife is now suffering from the onset of the same... :sick2:

Oh yeah...daughter gets fitted for braces tomorrow... :( ...she should be a pleasant companion this weekend...
