Putting my car in its very first car show. Packing up the Mercedes for another road trip again this time to Los Angeles. I will meet up withsome friends from here and benzworld too. This time I will be putting it in a car show for the first time, it's finally fully restored now. Saturday there will be a 5 car 500/560 SEC caravan (of BW & MShop SEC drivers and owners!) out of Glendale, CA going to the car show, together, which is near Los Alamitos AFB near Long Beach/Signal Hill. There should be plenty of photos for this, it is big show, almost 150 different Mercedes cars will be exhibited at the show. After I polished the aluminum air cleaner lid, I covered it with clear shoe polish to keep it clean for a while. I will be hitting some Mercedes junkyards in Sun Valley, while there, and I have a date with a woman that lives in San Diego too. I am way under my Mojito limit for the year so I will need to catch up on that too.:D |

We'll be looking for the pictures of that, Jim. Sounds like fun. |

It's still Tuesday night, but I'm thrilled to have finally finished painting my dining room. I guess now it will be on to the living room. After that the upstairs and downstairs halls, the staircase, and then on to the garage. I aim to get the whole house repainted by January. Hope everybody has a great hump day tomorrow. |

I've got surprisingly little going on today. I'm trying to come up with some ideas for a company page on Facebook so I've been checking out some different company, gardening groups and organization pages. We've also got a consultant coming in to revamp our website which is horribly laid out, terribly outdated and virtually useless as anything else but a place setter on the www. The kids have another 1/2 day for parent-teacher conferences (had one yesterday and one tomorrow) so the Mrs. will be extra pleasant again today when I get out of work. We had son #2's IEP meeting yesterday and while it was tough hearing all of the milestones he's lagging behind his peers (which we already knew but it's still hard to hear it), everyone was very pleased with his progress and adapting to kindergarten. There are a number of areas that he's right on par so it wasn't all negative and socially he's excelled. Have my daughter's today and son #1's tomorrow. Then I have nothing this evening! A guy is coming down from the Pocono area to pick up my old Scout on Saturday so I've got to get all of the parts loaded into it and get the rear tire inflated so I can pull it out of the garage. It's bittersweet but it will open the garage up to a more manageable project. Or maybe a Man Cave...:D |

Trying to think at least a little about work, realizing that we've gotten maybe 20% of the packing we'd hoped to have done by now actually done, dealing with loan officers and underwriters and title agents and contractors (all of whom, to their richly deserved credit, have been wonderful), making sure we have drivers for all 5 of the cars that have to go to MD tomorrow, and developing a keen awareness of just how much colder I feel when stressed. And none of that stuff ^ up there is the causing the stress - that stuff is actually fun and exciting. Ma-in-law (uninsured Ma-in-law) went in to urgent care Sunday for a can't kill it chest cold which was quickly termed "pneumonia and we really don't like the look of that lump in your lung and those spots on your liver." Cat scan of the higher resolution variety run yesterday at least cleared the liver (cysts) but left doc talking about small cell tumor (the more unpleasant flavor) in the lung. Biopsy was early this morning. All involved are a bit shaky at this point. |

That's a lot to have on your plate Jim. My prayers are with your MIL. Good luck with all your coordination efforts. Hey Swamp, I hope your Scout sale goes well and your "man cave" turns out like you imagined it.:) |

Sounds like a REAL man cave to me, Swamp. Might need a space heater, but you'll be in heaven. |

However I do see infiltration by both parties. |
