Trick or Drink--boy that brings some controversy back to the forefront of my mind. My fraternity did "Trick or Drink" every year at various famous houses on a famous street in a famous Southern city. Our benefactors would open their opulent homes and have a punch bowl of martinis, manhattans, ect....and we would each have like two drinks and move on. Charge was $35/couple or something and we used it as a fundraiser for MDA, as the liquor and houses were donated. All was well for ten running years, until a complete dumbass (who prepped at St. Mary's in Boston before the Southern Redneck image comes to mind) shows up on the doorstep of one of the houses dressed in a klan outfit, dragging a pledge in 'blackface' by a chain ala Roots. Before we could jump on the guy and do him physical harm, the local (second largest in the state) newspaper got themselves a closeup of the picture. We were on probation with the the national fraternity for almost two years and with the school for a whole year. Had to have all our parties off campus and donate $5K to the Black History museum on campus.

That sucks. It really is a shame that one person CAN ruin it for everyone else. You have to wonder what went through that a-hole's head that decided that it would be ok to do that.

Got 2 cars stolen from my shop Sunday night.

One was an employee's, the other a POS Chevy S10 used car from a dealer (no idea why they wanted it on the lot).

Police recovered the used car today, employee's truck is still missing. -- So an okay hump day.

All the stars, cars, and boulevards.

Big road trip coming! Just about ready to set off on a 650 mile trip in the Benz for the City of the Fallen Angels. The car sits on a gleaming new set of wheels, just installed yesterday, ready to go, everything is pretty much set for a good road trip.

The hotel accomodations should be squared away by tonight, I hope. Won't be staying in Hollywood. Made that mistake already. ONCE.

Friday it will have some HVAC and sunroof repairs attended to at MR MB's shop in Tarzana.

Saturday is Get together of Mercedesshop forum posters, about 8 of us, at MR MB's shop in Los Angeles for a tire kicking session, then off to lunch, to a favorite Cuban restaurant Ernesto knows.

Reuniting with old friends from M Shop, putting the names to the faces of some of the other ones....

Paul S. says all the cell phone towers there are actually fake palm trees

Maybe a trip the the Merrcedes Benz classic center down in Orange County, en masse, after that.

It should be a great vacation.:pleased:

Been busy at work the past few days, dammit! :)

My kids' school has a fundraiser tonight at Friendly's so I might be bad and have some Ice Cream.

Then my son has a Scout meeting at 7:00.

Not overly looking forward to that. I'm ready for bed NOW.

Anytime you wake up and you are not pushing up daisies, it is a good day.

Apparantly, he graduated, got a job in DC and is at it again with his old antics:
