It's rainy and 40's today. Yesterday we had a frost in central CT. This is precisely why we tell customers not to start putting stuff in their gardens or seeding lawns here until Memorial Day (with a few exceptions). That doesn't keep them from doing just what we advise against doing and then complaining that our seed was no good.:mad: Me thinks it will be a slow day today. :dozey: |
I'm spending this cold and rainy day cleaning up my garage. I've had a 300TD in there for about 7 months for repairs and body work.
It's going to take at least all day today getting it cleaned up so I can use it as my wood shop again.:D Have a great Wednesday everyone. On a side note, I posted the thread for my September GTG. I'd love to see you all there if you can work it into your schedule. Details at post #682 http://www.peachparts.com//shopforum/showthread.php?t=228523&page=46 |
I am hiding from my attack kitten.

Hi, happy hump day to you all. Between working at work and working on my new hacienda, I haven't had much time to waste on the forum. I do miss chewing the fat and shooting the breeze with all of you, though. Looking forward to the next GTG.

My Wednesday consisted of getting a second, larger and more painful, hole cut in my face. Second squamous cell carcinoma removed, clear margins achieved, "mini-face lift" to just the right side of my face obtained.
Doc was not amused when I suggested that half a face lift was just going to make the left side of my face look like I'd had a stroke. He was even less amused when I said that I could not understand anybody going through this voluntarily just to remove a few wrinkles. He was down right surly when I responded to his story of a patient who found amazing transformation and conquered agoraphobia after he gave her a face lift by saying that I would seriously wonder about that person's mental state even after the fact if all it took for her to go outside for the first time in 3 years was making her look 10 years younger. Have been advised by several folks this afternoon that taunting the man holding a scalpel to my head was perhaps ill advised. They may have had a point :P. Also pulled the stereo bits out of Elvira (dead 97 Miata eaten by an Exploder) and plunked them into Red (my 93 Miata). Much grinning and head banging did commence on the trial run of Exile on Main Street. "Supervised" Darling Wife as she finished up the install of a functional stereo into the white Miata (headrests from Elvira, head unit unit from her first Miata (the Silver Miata), new kit from crutchfield to bolt it all in place). Now I'm giggling and drooling as I watch her run in place in front of Chickie's Wii. Life is good! |

I was anxiously awaiting that last month and then forgot all about it. |

Acquired a handful of CD's during the day yesterday and made myself a Gogol Bordello mix for the ride home from work. Remembered how much more quickly I drive when good driving music is blasting :P |
Wow...another week...waitin' for the hump...
So now, we're 4 hours past the hump and slowly sliding towards Beer O'Clock Friday... How's the weekend looking? I'm in Milwaukee this Friday thru Sunday and I'm thinking of taking the 450SLC for the trip. PM me if there's anyone in the area that might want to share some spirits. BTW, I doubt I'm going to be up for a Brewer game or three during my time down there...I just can't stomach our closing pitchers throwing away ball games due to the fact they've seem to have lost their "heat" off their balls. So...whasup? :D |
Darling Wife and Chickie are on a field trip this evening, and I'll be in the back corner of the barn pulling the top off Elvira.
