My dad asked me about a problem he has transferring files. He has a P3 and P4 both with XP pro. He's transferring files from the P3 to the P4 using a 1GB USB stick. He frequently gets a "folder name too long or invalid" error when copying files from the stick to existing folders in the P4. He can put the files in a new folder, but gets the same error transferring files to existing folders.

What's going on and what can he do to get the transfer to work on his terms?
