Could you share the details of your military service with us?

I thought about joining the Marines or Coast Guard, maybe Navy for a bit, but decided to pursue other areas. I don't think I'd work well in a very structured environment. I kinda of regret not trying to get into the officer core now.

I don't agree with many of your other points but you are spot on IMO, I can't stand the cheerleaders myself unfortunately like any other war the proponents will not put their own children in harms way .

I would like to see the rest of the data, how many of these are reservists? I think there is more to the story.

I am Military Police, which means I ran humanitarian mission security, convoy escorts and EPW operations as well as prisoner transport.

No, I don't think so. There's a job to do, and I've volunteered to do what is my country requests of me. All that matters is that we are there, and we will stay until the job is done.

I see no reason for a comparison between GB's election and the spike in desertions. You see the spike took place in FY2000 right? That's Oct 1 1999 to Sep 30, 2000.

And this is because YOU have been there, and can confirm that what he says is true or not? You have been to Vietnam, not Iraq right? The soldiers that I spoke to that have been to both said that they are very different.

I know many persons better suited to waging war, and all of them think invading Iraq was a mistake. The list starts with GHW Bush.
