I have heard good things about that tractor. There was a 2400A and a 2400B. Buy the right manuals. I think the agricultural equivalent was a 464? It may still be made in India. If it's not broken and welded back together you probably got a good deal. Funky multilever controls, but you can do it. Funky starting fluid injection too.

I spotted one small area welded on the loader bucket. Otherwise, it just needs paint.
The engine fired up with little effort after sitting for two years. I noticed the place for a can of starter fluid. Not needed fortunately.

The backhoe boom fails to swing which puzzles me. It can be moved if one pushes on the bucket when the hydraulic lever is pulled for the proper direction. It is acting as if there is no hydraulic pressure to that valve. Odd thing is that the valve is "sandwiched" in the stack with all the other multilever hoe valves. Everything else works. So, there has to be pressure to the stack. Weird.

Welds on the bucket, etc are normal wear and tear. Welds on the stuctural parts of the tractor show abuse. Stuff like the transmission case shouldn't break with normal use.
