The part that is constantly harped on is that he wasn't an imminent threat. Problem is that if someone unfriendly came along and offered cash for these precursors, we could find that it comes to us in an assembled form.

Like I said before, if it went in, either Saddam has mastered creation and destruction, it has to be somewhere. If Bill Clinton had decided to go in after a few times of cat and mouse, we wouldn't have the issue of asking where it is today. We also won't have to wonder if it will come back to haunt us in a more lethal form.

I think that over time, the Republicans have behaved abysmally with the economy, this latest treasury raid is a simple example.

And other things.

Butthe focus of most people's ire is the GWOT and I defend it zealously. As does Joe Leiberman. Is Joe a Republican?

I'm a free trade, open market, low tax, abortion - supporting, nontheistic government, anti-WTO, anti-UN, pro-GWOT, pro-affirmative action (short term), strict borders, guest workers, anti-illegal alien, pro gun rights, environmentalist wacko fringe kind of guy. If that's a Republican: GUILTY!

No I'm not saying that at all. In fact no one here is denying that Saddam had chemical weapons in the 80's and early 90's. The lies were the reasons for the need to invade Iraq that we were repeatedly told in 2002 and 2003.
