As for the values, mint cars, with low miles, and all records command premiums.
I have seen a 1992 500E single owner, 35k miles, mint with all records for sale for 45k.... Its alot of money, but it is also alot of car. I think its too mouch car for someone of your age, and also someone of my age... With that said, it's one of the most perfect automobiles ever made in my opinion... Problem is I drive alot, and would put tons of miles on that thing fast.... Thats why we got a 1993 400E, as it had great performance, but got like almost 30mpgs when we would take it on roadtrips...

500E's are nice, but for the kind of money that good ones go for I'd rather get a Ferrari, or NSX.
Or a 560SEC AMG Hammer. With a full 6L conversion, right off the boat from Japan.  What do those go for these days? About $40k?

Real deal kits, or the replicas??
I got the real deal kit, and it cost me a pretty good chunk of change..... I could have bought 2 Fair condition 300Es for the price.... The 500E front clip, same deal... Look at spending about 1k+ to get the parts, then another grand to get it mounted and painted.

Ok so I got it for free off a friend, gave it to my dad for a little bit, dad fixed things so I payed him (the $1000) for the repairs, then he GAVE it back to me.
So yes these posts have small but important gaps in-between them. And I do alot of talking for my dad. Like the post debating between the new CTS or a MB (which hes now looking at 08 audi's)

I have bought many cars, and I confuse myself, just bought my sister (with her money not mine) a 1999 eclipse for $3500 I think, but I help family members out with any car purchases, so I think that was the 1996 E320 my dad bought. ok heres the specs on my 1994 MB E420: white, 88k miles (when purchased), and I allready described the whole buying deal....which was a very confusing time. and I am the second owner, not counting my dad, he only had it for 3months.
