Oh wow!! That's wonderful

I am really happy to hear this. Especially that you got the 2nd generation ones, the 87's would have the 3rd brake light "Bubble" on the trunk, and the updated 16 hole wheels on them.

Those Panzerwagens are pretty fast too, they have 227 hp. Probably the best sports car Mercedes built. PM me if you want a copy of the Road test car and driver did on them for 1987. I actually still have one with my Mercedes records.
.
Did you get a hard top, a hardtop hoist or a hardtop stand to go with it?

Two good resources are www.mysl.com and www.slmarket.com

Women bought a lot of them. They were considered fashion accessories by many, the last thing they "put on" before wafting from the Beverly Hills Hotel to the Palm Springs Tennis Club.

Seen in abundance around West Palm Beach, Scarsdale, the Hamptons, etc, places like that.

There is a HUGE support and parts network for these.

They have the bank vault quality of the W126 380/420/560 SEL/SEC and the old world Mercedes build quality missing today, and are a true classic.

Your other car is white too, isn't it? Wow, what a pair in your garage that will make.

It will all be worth it the first time you take the b/f out in it with the hardtop removed, for a slow drive in the spring summer or fall, on a country road.

While fast, they are more like GT cruisers than balls out sports cars.

True classic, a car for the ages.

Now: Pictures, please!!!!!!

Very nice! If your interested in refurbishing your seats, get this stuff. Works great! http://www.leatherique.com/ I dyed the seats in my 300E over 4 years ago and they still look great.

Ooooo, the cloth drapes seductively over the sensuous curves! I got it in my mind now, Ms.
