I've always been pleased that we don't need a "front plate" here in Indiana.
Our governor has also recently revamped the BMV (one brilliant success; everything else he's done has ranged from "dumb" to "awful") and it's lovely there now. It's friendly and fast. As recently as two years ago, I had to try and convince them that my Saab 9000 was not an SUV (seriously; they said "all 4-door hatchbacks are SUVs"). Now, they really seem to have gotten their act together. I was actually thinking about a new cool front-plate for my w126 (midnight blue). I can't decide between a nice chrome Benz star, a chrome Indiana University plate,or the flag of Ireland.
