Has anyone won anything in a state lottery?

I was wondering who buys lottery tickets here. If you do, have you ever won anything? If so, how much?

I bought a ticket yesterday and found out I won something. Two bucks. Yesterday was an exceptional day. I closed a nice sale AND won two bucks inthe lottery.

Dang Dee. Thats pretty cool..... I think you should buy some more lotto tickets if your feeling lucky.

Personally, I have never won anything in the lottery..... I think I have better chances of being struck by lightning then winning money in the lotto.

When I go to France (Louisiana) usually pick some up. Biggest single win this year was $500. Mississippi doesn't have a lottery the casinos won't allow it.

Have won a couple $50 and $60 before. Keep hoping for "the BIG ONE" (million or over)

I've had a couple of scratch tix given to me in a B-Day card payoff in the $2-3 range.

I don't play unless the CT Lotto or PowerBall get into the insane dolllar amounts. I'll p!ss away a few bucks on some quick picks but it's actually pretty cheap entertainment. I'll spend the days or hours until the drawing dreaming about all of the things I'll buy when I win it.

The lottery motto is "You can't win if you don't play." My motto is "I won't win if I do play."

Yeah, it's a ticket to dream for a couple of days. That's all. I never win anything. That's why this was remarkable for me.

A friend of ours hit a ten dollar ticket in our state lottery for $500,000. He ended up with around $320,000,,,, chump change.

I always thought it was funny when people won't buy a ticket to win a million dollars. They'll only buy one when the jackpot gets up to twenty or thirty million. It's like, I couldn't be bothered with collecting 10-15 million bucks.

Hey, was that a back-handed comment? P'shaw, chump change!

The way I figure it, I'm not going to win no matter what. But there's a whole lotta dreamin' goin' on for a few bucks when they get to the high dollar jackpots.

About 10-12 years ago, the jackpot was somewhere north of 100million, so I bought five tickets. One of them had 4 correct numbers. I was hoping for several hundred dollars...maybe a grand or two. Nope....70 bucks.

Sadly, this is one of two states without any legalized gambling.

The first scratcher I ever bought, was a $2 winner. I didn't really want to buy it to begin with, but it was my birthday and I was a bit drunk.

I was just whacked enough to realize, that if I turned it in for cash and never played again, I'd gain membership into the elite club of people who had won more from the CA lottery than they'd spent.

My membership is still intact.

Guess you'll have to settle for the great Maui Wowie, or Kona Gold!

My heart goes out to you... (who gives a crap about gambling anyway?)

No I don't gamble like that since the chances are so small. I don't want to waste money, that I can waste on other more fun stuff.

I only go to the casino maybe once a year and play blackjack or roulette. Thats the extent of my gambling.
