Hang in there. Keep busy this weekend. Stay away from temptation or smoking environments.
Report back Monday.

You can do it Kevin! I loved cigs, but hated being a smoker. It's been a few years now and I cannot even think of starting again.

Thanks again for all the encouragement. I keep falling down but getting back up. If Mrs Pig would do the things the book says to distract me, it would be easier.

The only way to quiet smoking is to do it cold turkey; patches and nicotine gum keep you addicted to nicotine, nicotine will be out of your system with in 3 to 4 days. The real struggle is the habit of smoking. This is how got through the first month: I didn't tell anybody so there would be no out side pressure; didn't drink for a month, for me beer and cigarets were one; I exercised every single day so I could feel the benefits of not smoking.

Live is better with out smoking and not smoking improves your sex live big time but it's harder to pick up girls because smoking outside the bar was always a good excuse to talk to them

Good luck and btw i haven't smoked for 2 and half years

Sometimes the journey has to be done alone....now cheerleading along the way might be something Mrs. P could do.

Always the journey has to be done alone.
Willpower. You want to quit, you will. You don't, you won't.

"You look too smart to smoke" That's what a counter girl told me in a 7-11 about 25 years ago.
I paid her no mind and later on had my 5 by-passes. How about you Kevin? You're a very smart guy. Smart enough to quit? Smarter than that girl in the 7-11?
I wasn't. And it was just dumb luck I quit two months before I found out I had serious heart problems.

I hope to see you at the next GTG....smoke free.
