Forget the mini gun, you missed the 30mm Cannon on the side

Seeing as the photo is so compressed from the long lens used to shoot it. I’d say that thing is much further away than it appears.

I’m going with it possibly being a fire training or aircraft evacuation training mock-up. Almost all major airports have them stuck off in a corner area like this one is. Most replicate the type/size of aircraft that most frequent the field. I guess they train for mishaps involving those monsters.

As for the thing/laser/target/engine/??? on the top….. That’s new to me!

Yeah apparantly whenever Sikorsky needs to ship a helicopter or other large components they bring it to Bradley. I saw one there last year but it could have been hauling other freight.

Maybe Roncallo can confirm this for us?

Its hard to tell but this photo was definatly taken there.

when I lived in CT my grandpa would take me to the air museum by bradley once or twice a year and then we would go watch the planes take off from the terminals, of course this was before the whole 9/11 thing and you could watch from terminals

All is not lost, there is still the dirt parking lot next to one of the main runways where you can watch the landings.

Ok Roncallo just confirmed that Sikorsky does use the An-124 to deliver helicopters to various places through Bradley.
