I just saw this recently at the Film Festival. My date was from Peru and she liked it too. We met the director and talked to him

Plot: "To cope with his father’s recent suicide, Santiago decides to escape the harsh Lima winter for the picturesque beach town of Máncora. Upon his departure, he receives an unexpected visit from his beautiful stepsister, Ximena, and her arrogant husband, Inigo. The three take off on a party-fueled road trip, picking up a bohemian hitchhiker along the way before arriving in Máncora. Once in the beach town, they let loose, causing romantic tensions that threaten to tear the group apart."

But much of it stars a gray W123 euro 230E, going from Lima to Máncora.

There are a few of these still around in Peru, I used to notice them in Lima and Arequipa on my trips there.

I saw another one on "The Mentalist". A burned out 300D in a house fire... Oh yeah and Dan Akroyd drives one in "Driving Miss Daisy".

"Life" on NBC . . . the new husband of Det. Crewes divorced wife drives a new silver S-Class and in the second season there is a "make out" scene in the back seat.

However, the real story in the quirky detective series is the main character's misfortune with his personal cars . Since the premier, they have wrecked his character's Bentley Continental GT (smashed by a farm tractor) . . . which he replaced with a street racer modified Buick Grand National which he gave away to a couple girls in an econobox . . . which was replaced this season with a Maserati Quattroporte . . . which he and his parter were ordered to pump full of police rounds from their own weapons by a kidnapper . . .

I just searched that on IMCDB.ORG I didnt find any S Classes. I found a CLS and SLK. Also a really nice Maserati Quattroporte.

My mistake, the new husband has a CLS.

I'm especially pleased that NBC has ordered the remaining 9 episodes for the season. For the literature astute TV viewer, the central plot is completely stolen from "The Count of Monte Cristo."

the high speed pursuit cars in the Bourne movies are Mercedes, two 190E's, cant tell the engine size because they are debaged, and a 300E series sedan. the 300 gets wrecked. but the fate of the other two is unknown, i hope they didn't wreck them, i love 190's.

i hate the fact the the movies wreck so many collectors cars. for all you charger fans out there, looks at the new Dukes of Hazard movie, they totaled so many fine cars.

In the Bourne Supremecy chase, they were W124, not W201.

no, you can distinguish the two by looking at the tail lights. the W201 has the vertical tail lights. Brake, Reverse, signal, and running. (from inside, out). the W124 on the other hand has a completely different arrangement. since the trunk lid on the W124 sedan has that angled back. the tail lights form around them on each side with the signal on top of the reverse light, sandwiched the brake and running lights with the brake on the inside and running on the outside

Here is one my daughter watches. She tells me its not on TV anymore but she watches reruns on it she taped. It has a lot of Mercedes,BMW,Porsche. I sat down with her when her and her friends where watching it and drove them nuts saying what each car was that came up in the show.

In "Hart to Hart", the Harts had a R107 and a W123 wagon. In earlier episodes, the R107 was a 450SL, changing to a 380SL in later episodes. Same thing with the W123 wagon, in early episodes it was a normally aspirated model with painted wheel covers, and then around 81 or 82, they replaced it with a turbocharged model with bundts. FordMoCo and MBNA provided cars for the show to use, so that's why they had the latest cars through the show. There used to be a clip on YouTube showing Johnathan Hart in the 450SL trying to catch up with the 300TD with his wife and a crazy lady in it. The 450 lost the diesel. Talk about unrealistic, LOL.

agreed. Just saw 'Blood Diamond' takes place in Africa. Tons of 123 s in that movie aaannnd.. they retained their stately posture while all the other cars seemed rather worn after the same brutal punshment.

Charlie Sheen's character in "Two and a Half Men" drives an AMG S Class, but you never see the actual car. A few weeks ago, brother Alan takes it to a Beverly Hills dealer for service and hooks up with a female car thief.

Yes. I have seen that espisode acutally on TV a couple of weeks ago. I think she even asked him if he had a CL65 AMG as they sat in the waiting room drinking coffee. He takes her out to lunch or something if I remember correctly
