That being said.....R129, good choice. I'd take it over any R230 every day.

Good choice, a late R129 would be one of the last quality engineered SL's.
The 500 ones are well balanced, and easier and less costly to maintain than the V12 ones are.

The SL65 AMG was a real blast. I could have BOUGHT it, but probably couldn't have afforded to keep it running.

Nice Mistress. What color is it?
The R129 is a blast to drive. Very well balanced, and powerful. Not to mention they are fairly reliable. I let Jim drive the 600 around the block. He was too afraid to get on it... I drive it, and got it sideways with him in it, and scared him...
