Because you think it's only worth $50 does not mean that that's what it's worth. Were you the only buyer in the world, it would, but you are not.

Quit insulting people about what they will sell stuff for. If somebody turns down your low-ball offer and sells to someone else for FOUR TIMES THE PRICE, are they the stupid party?
Come again?

I put it up for sale on craigslist for $150. I had an instant offer of $100. sight unseen and I am holding it for a guy who says he'll buy it on Monday for $150.
I am in Springfield, Missurah.

Ok, only three times the price. I don't think that I would pay $150 for used mower, but I know that I'd give you $50 in a heartbeat, and I'm a cheap something or other.

Glad to hear that you're making out well on the deal. I highly suspected that you would.

I still think you should have gone for $200.

Wow $50 guys don't get too crazy on your offerings. I could barely buy a new blade and 1 wheel for my Toro for that.

Looks like you're a day late, and a lot of dollars short. Seems you wanted it for $50 too.....LMAO! I highly suspected this.

It's always good to have an asking price......as you've learned with your pending deal on craigslist.

Since Mr. Kenny failed to list an asking price here, unlike his craigslist ad......exactly where should the bidding have started??

Your suspicions are groundless.

I said that I would pay $50 for it in a heartbeat. I did not expect that such an offer would or should be accepted. I believe that I stated this here:

I thought it was pretty obvious what that meant. However, I accept that people can and do misread statements. I'll chalk this misunderstanding up to that.

My "suspicions" that the mower was worth $50 to you, was based on your post. It was no "suspicion."

I'll chalk your posts up to misreading statements here as well. -There's no other conclusion.......

You again miss the point. The point is that the mower is worth more than $50 to me. I would happily buy it for that price (assuming that it's any good), but no way would I sell it for that.

When someone buys something, it is because the item is worth more to them than the cash. When someone sells something, it is because the item is worth less to them than the cash. It really is that simple.

If something won't sell for your asking price, you then need to reevaluate its worth to you. Same as if a seller won't sell for your offer price. Sometimes there's an agreement, and sometimes the sale just does not happen.
