I would much rather have a Tahoe and the extra $20K in my pocket! The H2 is pretty useless as a truck and as a daily driver. My 'burban is very comfortable and a great highway ride that does not feel 'big' when you drive it. My friend's Tahoe is a rocket ship and is the best size for an SUV. I just needed 3 rows of seats when I bought my truck or I would have a Tahoe myself.

I did drive a Hummer H3 for a month last year. It was a pretty decent little truck. Got around 20 in mixed driving and was good on some Texas off road trails (don't tell Enterprise!)
However, it had horrible visibility which made it dangerous on road and a joke off road, had more plastic than a Lego factory, and was embarrassing with it's fake self inflating rims, hood snorkel that was fake, etc. I bet for no extra money they could have used some real bits to make it act like it looked...

H1 = Amazing, always wanted one to take offroad
H2 = Completely useless over-cosmeticized, over-priced Suburban
H3 = Chevy Colorado with a cap and seats. Much better than the H2, but why not buy a new Toyota FJ? I mean the FJ even comes with an extra windshield wiper!!

The thing I've noticed most about H2's is that there about 90% less on the road after last year's gas price jacking.

Why someone would buy one of those over something like a Landcruiser has always confused me. Perhaps I need to go watch Talladega Nights and some episodes of Eastbound and Down to bring me back to reality.

i liked the look when they first came out because they did look like a Tonka truck and we all love Tonka. But that said I knew one guy that owned one and he was an a**hole. Another friend of mine rode in it and said everything inside was cheap plastic made to look like robust material until you touch it.

That's like having brick wall paper on vinyl siding. I think I would take a Tahoe, Land Cruiser or a pickup before that.

I'm not saying that you have to be one to drive one, but that guy was a serious A**hole and I can't help but call him one.

The H3 I belive was built on the GMC Jimmy chassis as well. And yes the Hummer is a useless car.

Now your talking! I had a '76 that I sold when I was in college because I couldn't afford to feed it anymore with all of the driving I was doing (mostly extra-curricular). I've always regretted that decision.

I've considered buying an H2 just to piss people off. If it had a real 3rd row I'd probably do it. I'll probably have to settle for the next scorn-level down and get a Suburban.

Like the old 90's-ed out Jimmy that went all the way to 2002? I did not know that... I knew they had the same engine offerings as the Colorado/Canyon

On that note, Anyone seen the new Isuzu pickup? Its a rebadged Nissan Frontier...odd contracts there. I didn't know Isuzu was still being marketed either...
