Lightning photos
1. Use a tripod. Old wooden tripods are better than metal ones in a lightning storm. See Ben Franklin.
2. Stop lens down at least halfway. See Ansel Adams. 3. Go for a minimum of 30 sec. exposure. See owner's manual to see how this is done.The 30 sec will get you multiple bolts of lightning, or nothing, depending on where the camera is pointed. 4. Depend mostly on luck and shoot a lot of pictures. 5. Use an electronic shutter release so you don't have to touch the camera. |
