I did not ask about Aklim, or his idea. I'm asking you. Of course your answer is relevant to the conversation- you raised the question so by that you ought to be able to answer your own question.

Jon Stewart was busy taping.
Speaking of JB, I heard it said he was drinking a non-alcohol beer, the same brand GWB used to sip. Doesn't Joe drink alcohol?

Obama's beer summit' yields symbolic image, but little else

Each man's beer of choice was respectfully made available in glass mugs for their meeting at a table on the White House South Lawn Thursday evening: Bud Light for President Barack Obama, Sam Adams Light for Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates, and Blue Moon for Cambridge, Mass., police Sgt. James Crowley.

Vice President Joe Biden joined the group with a glass of Buckler, a non-alcoholic beer.

Praying to the porcelain god count? Even in that case, something still comes out of the beer meeting.

At least they got together for a calm discussion. Seems like good symbolism to me.

Limbaugh talks about Obama trying to "destroy a white policeman."

More likely that Crowley's career will soar after this. Just look at what Joe the Plumber's chance encounter with the O man did to him. Or that kid who was wondering, in a question for BHO at a town hall meeting, what sort of benefits he could receive instead of just delivering pizza for year after year.

Hmm...he must really have let Obama off easy, thats one of the nicer things he has said!

I was really nervous about the "beer summit" after Crowley showed up with a lawyer and union rep. However, he was quite nice about it. Seems like this chapter of the race book is closed for a while.

I dunno, could simmer for quite a while. For me, this case is so interesting because both parties had reasonable complaints, and both over-reacted, though I continue to think that Gates got the ball rolling.

I mean, I don't like un-expected attention from cops either but if I know that if I'm pure as the driven snow, I calmly explain what's going on and I've yet to have a really unpleasant outcome. Mildly annoying a few times but we don't have too many perfect humans on the planet.

This is different. We are taking about a huge stink coming up from busting the O-man's buddy. He might be promoted and shoved into a corner to be forgotten but certainly, I don't see a huge career boost from it all.
