Surgery Wednesday

Went to the Doctor today. Said I had major problems and they are doing surgery this Wednesday. Just in time for the Superbowl. Life sucks, but as long as I can reach the grill, we will party on this weekend. GEAUX SAINTS!!!!

As long as you can reach the grill life is good. Don't stay to long in the hospital, not a good place to be. Good luck!

That worked for me when I had gall bladder surgery, I did all of the above and I was out of the hospital in one hour.

I hope it's not too serious, but in any event, your buddies here in the Forum are wishing you a speedy recovery!

Thanks to all. I have PAD. Peripheral Artery Disease. There is 100% blockage on my right side and 85% on the left. It's similar to what Dr. House has on the TV series. Like the good Dr., I'm chugging vicodin as it's extremely painful. I had the surgery around 6.5 years ago, but it has really come back hard this time. Told the wife it was serious DSB and it had built up in my legs, but she didn't buy it.

Kevin, sorry to hear about this. I wish you well. I am curious about where your blockage is located and what they are going to do.

Story: I had a cardiac cath. about a year and a half ago. The doc was going to run the lead up my right side. He went in throught the right groin artery and couldn't get through blockage.
He later asked me if I had any difficulty getting an erection!
The answer of course was.........

Good luck.

The doc asked me the same question after my last surgery. Seemed to work better after. Told the wife that the doc ordered "physical therapy" to insure everything was working to potential. Got good mileage out of that one. They went in the left side and had a hell of a time when they snaked to the right. I had some nerve damage afterward, but it was better than losing the leg.

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes.
