How were the "Climte change people" wrong?
I know Limbo tried to tell us melting ice and snow won't raise sea level. He used his iced drink to prove it. 'Course he was wrong.

Do you think this increase in materials in the air could have an effect on the amount of heat absorbed by the earth ???

If you are honest, there is no way to dispute the answers to these questions.

And it becomes impossible to deny that man has made an impact on the earths climate.

It is really just that simple....
I do not believe that science has yet figured out all the mechanisms that affect climate and weather.
AFAIK, NONE of the models they use for predictions work when used to look at the past. It your model doesn't reproduce what we know happened, how can you rely on it to accurately forecast the future?

I agree with some of what you say as far as putting stuff into the atmosphere. I just believe there is more to it than that. When they ignore solar data, they demonstrate that they are more polemic than science. IOW, the "scientists" are more interesting in proving a point than in scientific truth.
Man has SOME impact.
Man's impact is not the only, or even a major cause.

Most GW people I have heard, honestly admit that if all their restrictions were immediately put into place, would have a measurable effect.

Haven't read all the posts, but it looks like this may be the "storm of the century". Our niece lives near Baltimore and has over 40" of snow on the ground tonight. She hasn't been able to get out of her house since last thursday and is starting to worry just a bit. I'll bet there are quite a few folks around who would classify this weather as a once in a lifettime experience.

Yes, but we will never have perfect science on any issue.
It is impossible.

If we wait to act on anyting untill we have perfect science then we
would never act on anyting.

And yes, there are other factors that influence climate.
One of the largest influences is solar activity.

Do you know we have been in a solar activity minimum.
We have not seen this few solar spots or winds in the last 100 years.

Now we are seeing a rapid increase in solar activity, just in the last few weeks.

The solar maximum is theorized to hit around the middle of 2012.

This will be the first time in the planets history that this much carbon is in the air during a solar peak.

Nobody knows what will happen, nobody.

Maybe nothing, maybe a lot.

Do we continue speeding down this busy street telling ourselves that we dont know that an accident will hurt us, because we have never been in one.

I would at least like to have a seat belt on.

We are putting way more material into the atmosphere than any forest fire ever has.

Volcanoes are the only things that can compete with us.

Can you find the speech where Al Gore said he invented the internet ??

If you do you may want to watch it... it may be enlightening to you.

Hey, dont let little things like facts or reality get in the way of your beliefs.

This sure was some great timing on your part.

Thinly veiled global climate change retoric, right before a serious storm..

I would be amused if it werent so sad.

Come on John.

I can say that the right feeds us just as much or more bull.

Get to the real facts.

Name calling solves nothing.

Live has little meaning if you stay at a superficial level.

OTOH, do we spend trillions of $$$$ on stuff that may not have any effect?

Well, when your position is that every weather event is proof of MMGW, what do expect? You assume your answer is the only correct one, and accept nothing as contrary proof.

That is not the only option.

There are many many others.

Do you realize that your are arguing for polluting the environment ?

Do you like smog, acid rain, polluted water ??
