fingers crossed

I'm in a manhattan hotel tonight hoping my flight will be ready Friday night.... I'm staring at the top of the empire state building going in and out of the snow. About 5-6" so far, but the fun is supposed to start late tonight.

blowing in and out

Hope I can post these pix... about 6 blocks away. Sorry for the quality, edits of a camera phone to get them to fit. Same view. Empire St. building disappears.

Wow. You guys and gals up north east can’t catch a break from all the white stuff.

Hit now by the same mass that kept my folks stuck in Toronto
and also kept us out of KY and the last GTG.

All we’re getting here is... you guessed it...More mud !!

And in this coldest of all winters, the winter of Algore's discontent, Vancouver is hosting the Spring Olympics, with record setting warm temps. Who can figure?

This one skirted around So. Jersey. 1"-3" here with some drifting. Winds howled like a freight train last night but are already diminishing. Very light flurries now. Looks to be outa here.

But 3 of 4 Feb. weekends brought us snow. I guess we will top out at 36"-38" for the four snow events we had here this month. That's huge for this neck of the woods.
