Its about time, and it is sad that it did not include a public option, like every other country in the world has had for ages.

Well, insurance company stock went up. Anyone get in on that? Might still have an opening if it continues.

I've poured quite a bit into HI recently...I mean a lot by a fairly broke standard but every penny counts! Hoping you're right

Its about time Mercedes gave relief to W220 and W211 owners.

Oh wait, what are we talking about?

What's the difference between government "run" and government "oversight"? Its still privately owned, but they're told what do do?

I'm sure it will be wildly more expensive than they think it will be, just like every other government entitlement program. Its kind of like predicting a repair cost on a W220 and W211. I really hope it all works out, though. Its just hard to imagine... 950 billion, or $3,000 per United States Citizen.

Some nutshell info:

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/03/19/politics/main6314410.shtml

Oh dear, Joe is going to have to pay 3.8% more from his Berkshire Hathaway investment income.

If Insurance stock went up that probably is not a good sign for the strength of the bill.

If you don't have insurance you will be fined. How will they do that? Do you get a knock in the middle of the night from the Gendarme? Do the cops ticket you? What is it, a misdemeanor? Three strikes and they jail you? What?

That is very typical of the American response to practically everything. "To each their own, care only about your own self, not the good of the masses" Successful civilizations are built by many looking out for each other, not every individual trying to keep as much as they can for themselves.

Actually it's now other people who are responsible for their own healthcare. More people in the pool means the risk is more spread out. We don't have to pay for those who don't have insurance anymore.
