I hear you both and Id say that most of the time a wrong diagnosis and suggested plan of repair is put forth its corrected by other members before the OP could get a tool box open unless he/she is using a wireless laptop.

I'll start by saying I am nooo fan of jeeps and were it not for a long friendship would not be working on this one. This one has a stable electrical issue rather than intermittent. Fixing this has been like peeling an onion after sorting out the breading.

Yes all vehicles have problems that have several options. In reading here Ive seen most of that type to at least mention subsequent possible solutions, not just say 'this is it'.

So far Ive found 2 of 'this is it !! ' that when tested have proven to NOT be it...

May I ask what your Jeep issue is? Just curious... I have a Cherokee, and it has indeed had a few little electrical gremlins. I have stayed on top of them so far. Worst thing I found was the half-assed engine to body ground that someone rigged up at some point. They used what looked like ~16 gauge lamp cord (!).

Those are the gremlins that the "stock" forum replies will NEVER solve...even if it's from the Master Techs!
