Self Repair of Credit Rating

Online Disputing is O.K.(Keep copies of ALL messaging)

If you've LOTS of Time,It's possible to Wrangle the Telephone Numbers applicable to Speak With a Live Human (At each of the Agencies) AND YOU MUST BE WILLING TO WORK YOUR WAY UP THE FOOD CHAIN !!!
It is possible to speak with all three agencies in one business day.
Do Not be Patient or Courteous,YOU HAVE BEEN DAMAGED by their Business Plans.

DO Not forget "Choice Point" of Alpharetta,Georgia.
These are the people reporting YOU to ALL the Insurance Companies!!!

ALL of their business models REWARD them for ONLY reporting BAD/NEGATIVE
information !!!

You have to approach this Insanity, just like Cockroach elimination.
(Cause that's what it is!)

I have a different approach, I simplly ignore it. I'm done borrowing money, and I'm certainly done working for other people, so I really don't care about my credit rating. I should just "lock" my credit rating to prevent anyone from accessing it or changing it, but I've never bothered.

I am pretty well done with it too but I have this pesky 7 yr balloon mortgage on the homestead which expires this month, so I don't have the luxury of ignoring it.

it has been a while since I researched credit repair companies. try and find one that isn't afraid of giving you references and is a member of the BBB. a quick BBB check can turn up all sorts of things about the company. if there are only one or two complaints, don't let that detour you. now, if they have a dozen UNRESOLVED complaints, best to go on down the road.

there are credit repair companies run by lawyers and then there are non-lawyer credit repair companies. in the field of credit repair, I'm unconvinced that one is better than the other.

main thing is this: there are some scammers in the credit repair business so be sure and thoroughly check them out.

in addition, you might check with some local mortgage brokers and ask them who THEY have used and had good experience with. mortgage brokers deal with credit all day long and usually come across cases where someone could qualify for a loan but needs their credit repaired.

your welcome, I"ve dealt with some of this myself. the kicker on credit is the FICO score. the credit bureaus refuse to share with the public how they calculate FICO scores. this makes it difficult to try and figure out the best way to raise your credit score.

it's like this: WE (the all knowing, all wise credit bureaus) will determine how we are going to rate you, credit wise. and, we don't have to tell you what criteria we are going to use to rate your credit score. that's for us to know and you to find out.

Might want to rethink that. My home/auto policy's offer a "discount" for "superior financial responsibility".

Mine doesn't, I don't think I would want to associate with any business that thought a credit score was important.

all insurance companies use credit scores to determine the rates you pay. some insurance company bean counter decided that how well you pay your bills somehow determines the probability of you making a claim.

in the world of insurance, bad credit means you will probably be making a LOT of claims.

I'd like to see the science behind that nexus, but something tells me I"ll be six foot in the ground before that happens.

Think about it this way, if you are having a poor credit score, doesn't it show you have a problem handling money? If so, aren't you more tempted to fudge a few claims? If I owe big bucks, am I more likely than someone who is fine in the financial sense to say that I lost $2000 worth of items as opposed to really $500?

I think it is about actuarial science where they deem you more or less likely because of this or that.

The insurance industry has determined that financially-strapped, slow-pay or no-pay individuals are also deficient or poor risks in other areas of their life......imagine that?

I agree with you from the borrowing stand point and giving two sh#ts about my credit score but I would still want to get the bogus dings off my report, then I would lock it....actually now that I think about it, I need to lock my credit. I believe I can do it for 5 years at a time.
