It is legendary. The quote I listed is the epigraph of the book, a translation of François Villon's 15th-century poem Ballade du concours de Blois

It is worth buying

I am not even going to go into what/who I know concering the Angels organisation, I do however recall 2 things Sonny Barger said, that I will share.
Concerning recruitment into the club,he said-" In every classroom in America, there is 1 kid that doesnt believe what the teachers or the Establishment is trying to force down his throat.Send that kid to us...he is a 1%er...we'll take him..he's one of our's."
In regards to the black guy that got killed at Altamont Speedway(Rolling Stones concert 1969).
He said-"The black kid killed himself. He knew the Angels were all around him, but he still decided to pull his gun. In my opinion he just ..got-got".

That's all. It was an essay for Cycle World Magazine.

Two things that really caught my eye as far as changing over time.

The size of the bikes.
-and-
The size of the bikers.

Both seem to have grown immensely.

good point, a lot of rangie, wiry guys: of course speed was a favorite drug... The bikes were smaller. There were quite a few Sportsters in the group there and even the FLs were smaller than the scows that HD sells now. I had a 74 FLH and it seemed delicate parked next to the bikes of today.
