So, thinking of a Volvo 122 instead of the 140

I could not get the deal I wanted on the 140 and I really prefer the general Volvo 122 as a car. However, this is something that I 'm not going to drive to often, and I would want to put classic car insurance on it. The problem is that the SL is in the garage so their is not room for another car. These policys requiere that the car be garaged though. I just don't want to pay a bunch of money for insuracne for a car that is going to be driven a couple of thousand miles a year.

You really do want to become a volvo driver.
Dont they have therapists for conditions like that?
Is there some provision under some mental health act concerning such behavior?
Maybe some sort of mid life crisis?
The last volvo driver around here had a big fall from grace recently. Go check some signatures if you dont know who I am talking about. I think its a 7 series he has.

Don't let the insurance term "garaged" lead you down the wrong path. In your policy, the car insurance "Garaged Location" refers to the zip code where your insured car resides when it is not in use. The auto insurance garage location is normally the same as the insured driver's home and/or primary residence and is not conditionaly a building or dwelling where the insured vehicle is kept covered.

^^Classic car policies usually require that the insured car be sheltered in a garage.

How much is a bunch? If it's cheaper than renting a garage for your Volvo, combined with the cost of premiums under the classic car policy...

BTW, would you be seeking an agreed value policy?

Not really sure, at this point, but an agreed on value sounds like a good idea. The car I'm looking at is a decent example that was restored about 15 years ago. The motor was also redone in the last 30k. So, while the car is a decent example, it's not a perfect show car. The car was a daily driver up until the last year for the current owner who has owned it 20 years.

Really tell me more. I own two Volvos actually: a 1985 240 turbo wagon and a 1992 740 turbo wagon. I just like strange cars. I guess. The SL is the quarter life crises car.

The Volvo 240's are great cars. A 1986 Volvo saved my wife's and oldest son's life.

My inlaws have been rolling a 240 wagon for a long, long time.
I've always had a hankering for an 1800e or an es....

I sold my 86 240 wagon with 300,000+ miles on it 7 years ago and I still see it driving past my shop almost daily.
