The only thing worse was this line from a "meteorologist"?

They start right, differentiating between weather and climate, but significant weather changes over some time period are the basis for climate changes, so saying that you can't compare the two through history is totally contradictory. It's like saying you can't compare the number of hits and the number of at bats through history versus the batting average.
