How much does a new car cost? Same thing. It depends on lots of factors. With the economy these days you can sometimes find a healthy, decent saddle horse for free. I've both bought and sold horses for as little as 500 bucks to over 20K dollars, and there are many that are worth much more than that.
Lots of horse people become as bonded to their animals as dog owners do, and will pay medical bills that have no relationship to the market value of the animal. Sorta like old benz owners ![]()

I agree with the "suture self" method for large animals & dogs. have sewn up a few myself. Super glue works even better, learned that when my large animal vet came out and glued up one of my errant horses. He told me next time to do it myself.
Actually sewed up a split in the corner of my eyebrow when in college. I had a medics kit from my early days in the service and used the sutures to close up a pretty good sized gash there from a post rugby match brawl. hard thing was doing it in a mirror, but it came out ok. Some years later, I ripped open a spot near there when I hung my head into a deer taxidermy while moving furniture. Cleaned it out well, glued it shut this time, with some butterflys over it to stabilize it and gave myself an antibiotic shot. |

Those are planned events vs emergency visits. Much like going to make an appointment vs an ER visit.

Yes but that was as a comparison for the ER visit. I did find a place through a friend of mine that will spay my cat for about $50 including shots. My only concern is tat they are volunteers. I will need to check their licenses and stuff. But I have one more cat to do so I am hoping they check out.

Scientologist was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison. Maybe he can keep clear while in there.

i read about the initial event on the "ex sci. board" - didn't know it was resolved. it seems if you "climb the bridge", there's a good chance you'll go off the deep end. not to worry though, there's always the next life???
