Hot and cold lines are run to it. It's a single handle mixer sort of like a shower knob.
Hattie, we don't do much car washing out here...the road to the front is 1/2 mile of dirt/mud so we only wash when it's really obvious. However, because of their ability to transport crud, our two big dogs get baths on a pretty regular basis. There's plenty of days that an outdoor bath for them would be fine if the water could be the right temp. I can bathe them in the master shower too but cleanup 'après la douche' is much easier outside.

I do not know why I did not think of a mixing valve on the cottage outside tap before. It is a good ideal for the kids to hose the sand off them and washing the dogs down.
Sure has to beat being hit by really cold water. Although I have left a couple of hundred feet of hose on the outside tap to let the water warm up with the sun. Usually you can at least wash the sand off your feet before your into the cold water that way. |
