It was so hot, I saw two trees fighting over a dog.

So hot, I saw a lawyer take his hands out of his client's pockets.

Now that's hot right there, I don't care who you are!

Another Californian.

Do not really mind the heat, its nice. Cold weather, well, lets just say I am a shorts and flipflops kinda guy.

Yes, I did go to the snow this past summer, and yes, I was wearing shorts, flipflops, and a snow jacket!

"It's so hot..."

...that I saw the "Fat Lady" making her own gravy and the "Dog-faced Boy" was licking it up like it was the au-juice for a Hogie sandwich.

Then I tasted lunch...again...in the back of my throat!!

It's not too bad out here in Southern California.

Right now at about 7:00 p.m. it's 78 degrees with a cool breeze.

Will get down to 60 degrees tonight.

Supposed to be in the mid-80's from tomorrow through the weekend, and low humidity.

Perfect.

It is so hot my bunnies are suffering. The lovely Mrs felt sorry for them yesterday and took a fan out to blow on them! They got in the breeze and just layed there.

It was 79 degrees here at 5:45am when I got in the truck to go to work. Saw over 100 degrees when I was on the road yesterday afternoon. Supposed to be a few degrees higher today. That pool I put up two weeks ago is starting to look tempting! (Hmmmm, how can I arrange for a bunch of sweet young ladies to fill it?). Sounds like the misses and I will be having a late evening swim.

It's ironic to hear Texas folks complain about the temps like it's an anomaly!!!

As long as I can remember living in Texas we've ALWAYS been dealt 100+ degree summers...from May to September!!!

Yes, but the humidity levels? I stepped out to lunch today and got hit with a sauna-like steam bath

Humidity is the killer not the heat itself. I don't mind hot as long as there's no humidity to go with it. Of course now in mid summer in Phoenix it's no longer as dry as it used to be so the humidity sucks even when it's only 40 to 60 percent. Match that with 115 plus and then it does really become miserable. It's 109 here today, as it was yesterday. And my truck's A/C is broken

How do I handle it? I keep my windows down permanently, including when I'm parked somewhere. Amazing what a difference that makes. As soon as you move you have air blowing thru and it's not too bad.

Other than that, we cope by means of a thing called air conditioning. All buildings in Phoenix are designed around the A/C system.

- Peter.

That $0.79 for any size drink in the non-sweating foam cups helps too!
