In all the euphoria about the death of this murderous villain, lets not forget that because we do not have boots on the ground, we do not know where tens of thousands of shoulder-launched missiles might be.

So it would have been better if Obama had invaded with our ground troops? No, thank you.

Better? From what perspective? We'd certainly have more losses in the immediate situation. But maybe ( and that is truly a "maybe", because we will never have certainly), having troops on the ground would have given some control over those now missing weapons. How many US airliners will be shot down by those weapons if they find their way to some terrorist group?

What will the scoreboard be in ten years?

Answer this Question.>
When was the last time a U.S. airliner was shot down by a terrorist group using one of these weapons?

Please, I think everyone has had quite enough fear-mongering.

Between zero and none. MANPADS (look that up) have a very limited shelf life without new components from the manufacturer. Thats why none of the stingers we let loose in Afghanistan in the 80s ever turned up in a terrorist attack. The missile can still be fired but its unguided. A glorified RPG.

^ ah, the truth. That is actually a well-known fact. it amazes me how much right wingers love to slurp up this stuff. Bachman says Hezbollah is building missile sites in Cuba, etc. And the real truth is the fools can't even blow up their own f888ing underwear.

How silly. We had boots on the ground in Iraq, and have no idea where they went from there, either, except of course for the ones they used on our troops.

I'm planning to use the tombstone spelling as the standard.

It would have been a pleasing thing to me if Mr Obama sought and attained congressional approval prior to hostilities. I HATE the war power act. Damn the cowardly congress.
