The miracle is already working. Upon conformation of his death the petrol prices dropped down. Now the war is really starting Who will control all this petrol. The Italians are front row contenders, they are very well positioned in Libya and have been for the best part of the last 100 years. Lets see what the British and the US will do about it.

Yes but the Italians also refused to take part in the air war. They allowed the other NATO members to use their air bases and thats about it.

YAY! More Global Warming! More f***ing pollution!

Go nuclear and renewable, and kick oil and the merchants of death that sell it into the 20th century where they belong.

And yes, if I could travel by electric train for most medium-distance trips and own an electric car with a 100 mile range (and have a place to charge it), I would give up fossil fueled transport.

And if I had a magic wand, I'd bring about world peace.

If only the damage can be limited to the ME, it would be fine. Usually such items have a habit and fondness for creeping out. OTOH, if you don't mind cutting the nose to spite the face, sure.

You do remember that before oil became more than a messy thing, people were fighting about other things. Mankind will fight. Yesterday it was land, today it is oil, tomorrow it will be something else.

Even if we gave every country enough oil replacement, we'd still find something to fight over.

I'd use it to make myself be the only male with a 20 inch Johnson and everyone else no more than 2 inches.

And how are you going to source power for these electric mediums? It'll take far more solar panels per square foot than track for that train to get moving. The Hudson is too powerful for hydroelectric, shredding every single turbine they've ever installed in the beds. Geothermal in Manhattan? Nope.

Go green. Fluorescent green, that is.

Nuclear. I'm not a radiophobic little NIMBY c**t. And if enough of the aformentioned idiots freeze in the dark, they'll come round to being pro-nuclear-power.

Not sure about trains but we already produce enough electricity to electrify ever car on the road.

I think Libya will be back on its' feet faster than most countries since it can export 500,000 bbls. a day.

At $75 a bbl and lifting six days a week that is about $225,000,000 a week.

That kind of money can buy a lot of rebuilding.

Not that much if we have warring factions that make it unstable. Who is going to go get that stuff if we end up with a war zone?
