My buddies in the trades, who happen to own their own businesses (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanics), are doing quite well and can't find enough skilled labor. With blue collar jobs being all but frowned upon for the last decade and everyone pushing their kids to college rather than the trades, there's a bit of a gap. I don't know that the bulk of college graduates are landing themselves nice, steady jobs.

Well, I'm making a hair under ten bucks an hour putting labels on boxes and putting boxes on pallets. I have a degree. An acquaintance who has no degree but many years of machining experience is making thirty bucks an hour. Machinists and doctors are in high demand around here. Anything else, not so much (unless you want to do warehouse work for low pay-but hey, my waist has shrunk several inches since I started working there).

Your actual problem is that you live in Nevada. It is the worst job market in the country. You want to make more money? Move.

Not so sure about that. I reckon AZ must be running it a close second at least if not in first place.

That's bad because I'm starting to think about other places I'd like to live and Phoenix came to mind.

Perhaps wildlife photography ? Check out the last picture this fellow took. It truly captures the action.

Hmmm. Not sure I'd move here if I had a choice about it. There's good points all right but overall I think there might be better places in the country to live all things considered.

Those are some classic JR quotes; not everyone can have some of what ever he's drinking.

I figured that out 22 years ago when I started my Business. The problem that I had was that I figured out that the workers I hired should make as much money as I did. That was a mistake in part, I was taken advantage of by some but not all of them. And 22 years later, I do ALL of the work myself.
