You are absolutely right. There was and is nothing to discuss about since Ron Paul was the only relevant GOP candidate.
This can be disputed to whatever consent, but not to see, recognize and ingest this fact is either bluntly stupid or maliciously ignorant.
Tracing the recent indications and developments, I would suggest the heavy weight is with the later.

Chances are, it's probably not what you meant, but I could easily understand it this way.
