This list is very kind to the man. There are many more we can discuss later.
Do you mean you actually wish to discuss something

There's the problem, confusing the words "discuss" with "preach."

Don't promise something you cannot or are not sure of delivering. Aim wherever you please but if you cannot deliver, don't promise. Assure me you are working towards a solution if you must. Don't promise me a solution by 1500 hrs when you are not sure of delivering it.

There is a difference between

I will achieve X by 1500 hrs

I will attempt to achieve X by 1500 but it might not work out that way.
Slipping off into the realm of fantasy, no? This is America and American political history, not some idealized make believe world. It also points out the difference between the world of politics and the world of business.

Therein lies the problem. When a politician of any stripe says "I will do X, Y, Z", we accept it as "par for the course" when they fail to deliver. So, tomorrow, if we run for office, we know that we have to "up the ante" and say "We will do W, X, Y, Z.". At the end of it, we just say "Mea Culpa. I didn't deliver.". So, what you have said is that I have to be a liar to run for politics. The truth won't work. So, in the end, whose fault is it that we get what we got? Hence, I don't care what a politician says. Either it is a blatant lie or it is a half truth and therefore a lie. So the LESS a politician promises, the less he can lie. Therefore, my vote goes to whomever promises the LEAST. Lower expectations = less disappointment

I'd have to say that with the lowered expectations, the disappointment is less so it works out good. Just like everything else, I lower my expectations and they either meet it or exceed it. Either way, no tears.

If you expected me to be a crook, would you feel more disappointed than if you believed I was a decent person after you got screwed by me?

I'm more interested in knowing the names of the candidates you thought promised the least in your past voting experience. Who is promising the least now?

Yep, it would be a different kind of politician. One that promises hope and change. Yes we can.

One actual voting since I was not a citizen at the time but since 2000, Bush won twice and both times I thought he SOUNDED like the better man than Gore and Edwards. Can't say I am too pleased with him winning. Felt that if the others had won, they would have actually been better since they would have done even less. Voted Obama since I disliked McCain but that is a different story. Will see whether Romney promises more or less at the election time. Other than McCain, the worse you sound, the better I like you.

For a candidate who promised hope and change, embracing the losing candidates record is a rather low bar to set.
