The right is having fun with this now but really, its all about a high ranking public servant who did not know when to keep his pants on. Do you all think the president made him do it?

There are always cabinet and other high ranking changes made after a president is re-elected. Working (for example) as sec of state is a huge stressful job which pays a lot less than can be made in the private sector.

It makes no sense to make such a change in the period right before an election since if the candidate loses the change is made for them all.
