Turkey Day is Sunday for us.

I have 2 shows to mix on Thanksgiving (2am and 2pm...gotta love Asian shows).
Shows on Friday and Saturday nights too....

Think I will be deep frying the bird again this year.

For the first time in forever, exactly NONE of my relatives or inlaws are showing up. The kids will be home. The girls are bringing new beaus that I'll be able to goof on ("he's real gentle, more like a puppy than a horse, wanta ride him?"), those girls are always saying I scare their boyfriends off. Nonsense. We've invited a couple of close friends. Easy and peaceful.
Up to Flagstaff Sunday for a Bela Flek with The Marcus Roberts Trio concert. I've been a Bela Flek fan for many years but as I am a barn spoilt nag and don't get out much, have never seen him. Looking forward to it.

I bought a frozen baking hen to cook on my Traeger Junior Grill (BBQ055) | Traeger Wood Pellet Grills since it was going to be just my youngest daughter and I.

However, plans have changed. My brother and my nephew are visiting and my oldest daughter is joining us; so 5 for Thanksgiving meal at noon. My brother suggested we go out, so it is.

I'm hoping to get an artificial Christmas tree purchased today and start setting it up tomorrow.

Virgin attempt at smokin a turkey in my Kamodo acorn smoker/grill.
(I won at a grocery store drawing)
So far, I smoked large chickens and breasts etc.... I love this thing! Hardwood charcoal Heat is easy to control; just like an oven and the charcoal lasts for hours. ...
>Tip: I start the charcoal with a small piece of cotton cloth soaked with vegetable oil in a space under the charcoal. (You tube shows various ways)
This Works fantastic and no lighter fluid taste.<

This year, My Beautiful Wife, Myself ....and 2.1 children
...... for several years we had like 20 people over with requisite Political yelling/arguing, fists flying, food flying out of mouths, kids & women crying, dogs barking......ahhhh yes! Thanksgiving time with relatives!

Bela rocks. The show with Marcus Roberts is excellent.

Not the Flecktones..... but extremely cool music, played by very fine musicians.
(well mixed too, by my buddy Richard...)

Have a great time!

Well looks like I'll be helping out at the Pasadena shelter with the wifey (something she decided for us to do), so I'm not fully sure what our plans are. Either way I think it will be good to do something positive rather than my usual (eat and drink until I pass out). Happy Thanksgiving all!

Eating Thanksgiving Lunch/Dinner at the Clubhouse, then probably napping the rest of the day.

I'm hoping to work on w123 heater box reassembly this weekend.

Keeping it low key this year. Staying home with the wife and kids. Our family is all in Birmingham and Miami so its too far to drive for a few days and I am not a fan of flying with a 3 year old and a 1 year old
