If only her were alive today and could see how wrong he was. There is blind faith with absolute lack of reason living quite well in many countries of the world.

The same can be said for many beliefs. People did not use reason to believe alot of what they believe, they use blind faith. As we see from posters on this thread especially, even. As such, since they did not use reason to come upon their beliefs, I am running a fools errand to try and use reason to make them realize any error they might have made. I guess I can hope, but then am I not just ignoring reason to believe I can use reason to tutor these people?

Still, it does seem that FACTS and REALITY are very inconvenient for the republican party. And conservatives in general, like, say, the Libertarian.

I also saw a map one time. It showed which districts in Florida voted republican vs. democrat and the paths of the hurricanes that passed over Florida that year. THEY WERE ALMOST IDENTICAL! I guess GOD who sent the hurricanes must HATE republicans! Or... wait... no, that can't be right, the hurricanes are caused by GAYS, now, right? I guess it depends on which pastor you listen to.

Right, I don't expect the mad to actually want to listen to reason. I apologize to you Larry. That is my folly. I was trying to use reason to pull you from your irrational beliefs and prejudices. Ahh, well, I can still have hope that, like with the rising tide of 'non-believers' there will be an age of reason in the coming decades. That may or may not in fact coincide with a sharp drop in the number of church goers as they pass on into oblivion. But it's okay, Larry. You don't have to be afraid. You won't feel pain, you won't feel sadness. It's just a nothingness, and it is okay to just accept that.

I of course am referring to the lack of an afterlife, you of course will see the (potential) coming age of reason as something to fight against, because when you realize you are only a single human in a universe, you realize just how not special you are. No matter how many times mommy said you were. Your religion and your political beliefs tell you that you are something, and you fear giving in to reason you will realize, you really aren't.
But I say again, Larry, it's Okay to accept that.

You want to ignore facts as much as possible. You're afraid of finding yourself to be proven wrong. It's okay, it's a normal fear. But when you finally, IF you finally, overcome it, you will realize it is so much better to just accepts FACTS as FACTS. That being part of REALITY is better than living in a false fantasy. I will pray for you, in the name of FSM (The flyer), Athe(the son), and IPU(and the holy unicorn), Ramen.
