passive agressive note, best response?

Was sick for 2-3 days. Live in the city but 24 hour public street parking is fine in my neighborhood. My car was parked about 1 house down legally, more than 10 feet from any driveway ect.

Come out to a note on the windshied says "can you please park in front of your house?!"

Know just who it is, annoying because on a public parking street, you park where there is space, not where you live unless you have off street options. And of course ill be parked down there again often anyway

The goal is to write a response that makes this woman feel sheepish about writing a note in the first place, but is not escalative. Suggestions?

A quote from your city's parking code? We have nutjobs like that in our neighborhood who think they own the street in front of their house.

Ignore her, it's beneath your dignity to respond.

This being said, I wish that I could often find parking in front of my own home. Usually I end up finding a spot one or two streets down.

Might put a note back on your windshield in a differant color.

Basically stating you mean no trouble but public street parking is basically first come first served as far as you are aware. Now if she can aid in keeping other people from parking in front of your house you would love to park closer to home yourself.

Believe me if there was an empty spot there when I arrive home I would be more than happy to occupy it.

This is non combative but does not always work with crazies. At least she would not think you were ignoring her.

Wipe your a$$ with the note and put it on her car??

wait... that would be considered 'escalating'.... wouldn't it??
